I took the boat out to nearby Marsh Creek State Park. After backing it up several times I got the trailer in the water. And...it floats!
It actually does better then float. It holds the weight and handles beautifully. It glides through the water. I could not be happier.
Before I took it out we had a small christening ceremony. As much as I wanted to do Judge Smails speech from Caddyshack "Its easy to grin, when your ship comes in..." but I resist.
Instead after a few appropriate remarks I pulled out a Bells Two-Hearted IPA and christened the boat 'Little Joy'.
That is my wife's Chinese nickname.
