For extra strength fiberglass is added over the bottom up to the the first strake. Then a coating over epoxy over it. Then three more coats of epoxy.
Then the entire hull gets three coats of epoxy. Waiting 24 hours in between coats. Its a lot for mixing and a lot of time. The epoxy is not my favorite part of this build but it is involved every step of the way.
